Highlights from Technicap​

Since May 2023, I successfully led analysis, development and deployment of three complex systems for an international mining conglomerate, while maturing solutions architecture and frontend development capabilities through the initiation of a Design System and implementation of enterprise data integration solutions.

Customer Verification and Onboarding​

Led the design and implementation of facial biometrics systems for customer onboarding, balancing user experience with KYC compliance requirements

Risk Management​

Designed conceptual architecture for Risk and Rules engine, enhancing customer verification workflows across multiple regions

Coached a team of system designers and engineers to deliver a proof of concept implementation of StorybookJS to complement Luno's Design System through design tokens, establishing visual testing standards

2015 to 2021​

Before I joined Luno, I lead efforts to mature the frontend development, UI architecture and design operations discipline at Interfront. My team and I provided thought leadership to establish a foundation for execution, including a Design System, for implementing enterprise web application systems at scale. I coached and mentored junior engineers

Senior Systems Analyst, Interfront​

2011 to 2015​

I joined Interfront and worked as Senior Business Analyst, responsible for specifications of Enterprise Application solutions to Customs and Border Control Systems for Luxembourg as well as the South African Revenue Services.

Design, Development & Architecture​

1996 to 2011​

My first on-boarding project in the IT industry was over 20 years ago in 1996, as Web Designer and HTML author. In 1998 I was part of the front-end design and development team when News24 first launched their online web news service. I have since, worked in IT across various business disciplines, performing a variety of roles.

Over the years my skills and interests have matured and changed but whether I worked for Vodacom, MWeb, MTN or the CSIR, at the heart of every technical problem is a human being with kindness and creativity.
